Hello.

I was in a discussion recently about privacy or the lack of it, in the Internet world. Specifically, the discussion was about the EU cookie law which went into effect recently. In the US, the closest we have is probably the CAN-SPAM guidelines.

But, I’m getting ahead of myself. It surprises me over the years, how many times I refer back and re-email some of the same nuggets. To that end, if I put them in one place it might make it easier for me to disseminate or even manage.

From time to time, I’ll be posting about a topic that’s on the mind of my IT clients. I’m titling this blog and my doing-business-as, as The Information Complement: how information is the enhancer or complement to every technology decision.

I’d like to not have to admit the relatively high percentage of time I found all the necessary information already within an organization; maybe they didn’t need a consultant? But, as you’ve probably seen, it sometimes takes an outside opinion to surface and promote and yes, even take the blame for some new approach.
